I Am Not What My Name Told You What I Am

The labels I choose for me
are not like arrows or paths with
me at the end of them,
they point from where
my past started to walk
to the uncertainty
and the ubiquity.
And in the uncertainty
I’ll be forever scattered,
like chalk
on a blackboard, with
multiple shapes,
multiple letters,
always in change
unmentionable
and elusive.
